Observed Rides

Cleveland Police Motorcycle Section are running a series of Observed rides sessions throughout the year from their Office at Cannon Park.

These are open to all riders who hold a full Licence and who have an interest in developing their own skills.

Hopefully this will whet your appetite to take further training with one of the local Training Organisations whose details we would be delighted to pass on.

Okay, so whats involved, well you come along to Cannon Park on your own bike where we can have a chat and a cuppa before going out onto the road for up to 4 hours, the session will involve being followed and observed over a variety of road types and also give you the opportunity of following and observing us.

We will aim to concentrate on aspects of your riding you feel are your weak areas and hopefully we will be able to pass on our advice and assistance to make your riding smoother and more enjoyable.

There is no great secret to Advanced Riding, it is within the abilities of most riders out there, once you develop Observational skills coupled with Anticipation and positioning you are half way there, you will be more confident in you own ability, you will be far safer and you will certainly enjoy your riding more.

We may be using Marked Police Bikes to carry out the sessions but don’t let that put you off, our only interest is keeping you safe and for you to continue riding for many years to come.

What's more these sessions are free so no reason not to have a go really is there ?
