This year the eighth Annual Ridewell event presented by Cleveland Police and Stockton on Tees Borough Council is to be held on Sunday July 6th at Preston Hall and Museum, Yarm Road, Stockton with the fun starting at 10am. This would have been the ninth had the weather not put paid to last years event. For those not familiar with the event, this primarily is a Two Wheeled Road Safety/Fun Day with the emphasis on enjoyment and to that end apart from the usual things you would expect to see at a Road Safety Show there will be Traders, Dealers and club exhibitors from both the Motorcycle and Pedal Cycle World in attendance, including live Music from Kimera.

This year will see a first for Ridewell with a stunning stunt display from Graham Aitken of the Internationally renowned Vertical Brits/Starboyz Extreme Freestyle Stunt Team, trust me when I say this guy is worth seeing.

Also this year we are pleased to announce that one of the Countrys most popular and successful Race Teams will be returning to Ridewell for the second year, albeit in a different guise, Rob McElnea is bringing his new look Rob Mac Racing team here for the day so come along and meet the team and take a close look at some of the Race Bikes which will be competing in this years British Superbike Championship in the hands of Karl Harris who it is hoped will also be present. You may also get to see the one of the Henderson Yamaha R1 Cup bikes competing this year in the competitions debut season.

There will also be a competition to win a great prize connected to the team, our thanks go to Rob McElnea Racing.

We will also be running an Observed Rides element to the show where riders can go out with a Police Rider and hopefully pick up some pointers, or maybe we can pick up from you! and there will be prizes awarded so have a go you never know what you may win and it is all free. (Booking form on this site)

Since 2000, Guisborough Motor Club have been hosting the Ridewell Trials Competition with riders from all over the North East and beyond competing for the trophy, it goes without saying that this will again be centre stage on the show field.

We will be having motorcycle competitions with lots of prizes donated by local dealers up for grabs and a cycle competition for the younger members of the community with prizes of Mountain Bikes and associated items to be won.

There will be fairground rides, simulators, food courts and lots more.

Previous years have seen attendances in excess of 15,000 and we hope to top it this year so hopefully the weather will be kind to us - as it has been since year one !

So come along and have a fun day, and with entry and car parking free there can’t be any reason not to.
